Our mission is to witness God’s love through the provision of a shoulder for those in need to lean on and by providing practical help to those who may need such.
Vision Statement
Our vision is to bring Godly and lasting change to the communities that God has placed us in and within 10 years,to build an organisation which champions the aged as well as one that values its staff and its volunteers.
WHO WE ARE
Based in Lagos, but with a national and global remit, Aanu is a Christian missional initiative of the Elim Pentecostal Church targeting the aged. We are registered with the Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission as a Non-Governmental Organisation.
Various credible researchers have confirmed that social interaction and mental stimulation enhance the wellbeing of the aged whilst isolation diminishes their health. Our own research found that the Nigerian society has changed so much unfortunately that a large population of our aged now live in lack and a somewhat isolated and lonely existence devoid of adequate emotional and mental stimulation. Cosmopolitan cities like Lagos exempted?
Our main objective is thus to champion the often neglected aged in providing a platform through which they can enjoy healthy social interaction and lead a happy live. We aim to achieve this through the following approaches:

Agape Love
Our mission is driven bythe unconditional love we receive from God and our capacity as true believers to extend this love to others and for the sake of those in need of God’s love.
Compassion
To be passionate in being a source of provision to the need of others in a way our love of Christ compels us to demonstrate compassion to others and in response to the Great Commission. (Matthew 28:19&20)
Generosity:
To freely give all resources at our disposal with liberal generosity and without hesitation convinced that there is nothing we have that we have not ourselvesbeen freely given.
Genuine Relationship:
To build genuine and meaningful relationshipbetween ourselves and the people we serve as well as to help every stakeholder to encounter and build a true relationship with God.
